Commercial & Industrial Geotechnical Reports and Anlaysis

Marshall Geoscience was retained by the City of Hawthorne as an independent geotechnical consultant in connection with a public nuisance enforcement action related to the long-vacant Hawthorne Plaza Mall. The team participated in a joint field inspection with the City’s building inspector and the respondent’s soils engineer, observing and documenting distress conditions across the 24.5-acre site, including subgrade erosion, foundation settlement, retaining wall movement, and drainage-related deterioration. The technical observations supported the City’s review and enforcement process regarding remediation or demolition of unsafe structures.
